Shoko NAGAO was born and glown up in Hiroshima. When she was elementary school student, the tragedy of nuclear happened.
At that moment, she was outside of Hiroshima, but her neighborhoods, relatives, friends and lot of people deseased.
More than 50 years, she has been painting of Hiroshima memory. For Shoko NAGAO, painting is the only way which smooth over herself. She can't help creating her art production.
This is her 5th solo exhibition. Please hear her scream from inside the arts.

長尾祥子は、広島で生まれ育ちました。
小学生の時に原爆が投下されましたが、彼女自身は疎開していたため被災せずにすみました。
しかし、彼女の近しい人たちを多くこの悲劇で亡くしました。
彼女は、50年以上に渡って「広島」をテーマに描き続けておりますが、それは彼女にとって彼女自身を癒す行為であり、
そうせずにはいられなかったからです。
今年の個展は、5回目にあたります。
